Healthy food forms a healthy lifestyle

image We hear about healthy eating every day. We see various healthy recipes in magazines and on TV, but few of us pay enough attention to this issue. When we’re short of time we’ll drop into McDonald’s instead of cooking some healthy soup.

A lot of people believe healthy dieting is expensive. That’s only partly true. Undoubtedly, buying healthy food in special organic shops does require a significant amount of money. However you can buy organic products (vegetables or fruit) from people who grow them themselves or buy them in less expensive shops.

Healthy dieting doesn’t imply eating only organic food all the time. It’s also connected with amount of food you supply and with right mealtime. Eating fried organic potatoes all day long won’t make you any good. There are some simple rules of healthy eating:

1. Have a balanced meal. A daily ration should consist of the main nutrients such as proteins, fats, carbs, water, vitamins and minerals in good supply.

2. Follow dietary regimen. It’s advisable to have meals at the same time, four times a day with 4-5 hour intervals.

3. The calorie content of your ration should be sufficient to cover our energy demands, but not excessive.

4. Finally, eat fresh and good products.

From theory to practice

I want to share my favorite chicken and vegetable soup with you. It’s extremely delicious, healthy and easy to cook.

You’ll need:

1. 3 chicken breasts (i usually cut them into cubic pieces);
2. 2 onion springs, chopped;
3. 1 clove of garlic, chopped;
4. 2 small carrots, chopped;
5. 8 cups of chicken broth, which is 2 liters;
6. 2 bay leaves;
7. 100-120 gram of noodle;
8. 2 tbsp of cilantro, chopped;
9. 1 cup of cooked green pea;
10. 2 tbsp of olive oil;
11. 2 tsp of cumin;
12. 1\2 cup of cooked corn (optional);
13. 1\2 cup of cooked soy beans (optional);
14. Parsley;
15. 2 tbsp of lemon juice (optional);
16. Salt, pepper.

1. Saute carrots, onion springs and garlic in the olive oil for 5 minutes

2. Now add chicken with cilantro. Season with salt, pepper and cumin then saute until chicken gets cooked (it’ll turn white)
